Why Study Japanese?
I have been interested in Japanese culture ever since the first time I visited Japan 13 years ago. Since then, I have been watching Japanese animes and occasionally reading some mangas. When I visited Tokyo, Matsumoto, and Karuizawa (both cities are in the Nagano Prefecture) this past summer vacation, I loved the vibes these cities offered and decided I would start learning Japanese seriously to further my knowledge in its culture and make my future travels to Japan easier. The past few weeks have been awesome. It was challenging at times, but I enjoyed and appreciated the learning process. I realized how much I've learned in such a short period of time. I look forward in starting Kanji because it would be somewhat easier since I am fluent in Chinese. Okamoto Sensei made the process very fun and engaging. I appreciate her energy and guidance.
